The Central Queensland Regional Organisation of Councils’ (CQROC’s) new website has gone live, sending the message world-wide that opportunity abounds for those who choose to live, work, visit or invest in the region.
Coinciding with CQROC’s attendance at the State Government-led Regional Queensland Showcase in Brisbane on Friday and Saturday (June 12 & 13), the website http://cqroc.org.au carries the slogan “Love CQ – The Heart & Soul of Queensland” and promotes the benefits of the member local government areas – Banana Shire, Central Highlands, Gladstone Region, Livingstone Shire, Rockhampton Region and Woorabinda Shire.
CQROC Chairman and Banana Shire Mayor Ron Carige said the website’s launch was timely as it coincided with the first day of the two-day regional expo in Brisbane.
“We have been overwhelmed by the number of people who visited the CQROC stand at the expo in Brisbane and expressed their interest in what’s on offer in the region,” Councillor Carige said.
“The website is integral to our attendance at the expo and also our collective, cooperative future, and I was pleased to see visitors scrolling through it and expressing their surprise at just how much the region offers.”
Cr Carige commended local business Almost Anything for developing the mobile-responsive website, stating: ” … its appeal is a testament to not only their capability but the capacity of regional businesses to deliver first-class services and products”.
